About us

The creation of the ABEG is the result of the perception of the livestock exporters, whose activity, which offers the ranchers a new option of trading, increases the possibilities of trading. It made some sectors, industries, and organizations interested in changing the husbandry into frigorific stocks began to react.

Before the creation of the Association, some campaigns were carried out by the press, against the livestock exportation, full of false accusations, from mistreating to lack of aggregate value.

The leaders of the movement against the livestock exportation got even to the point of demanding a taxation of the Federal Government for exporting animals.

The awareness that isolated exporters would not have conditions to face such an organized opposition, made companies of various Brazilian states, despite the concurrence, strive for an union, creating a strong organization, able to oppose to the false arguments with concrete facts and give transparence to the business, showing that, among other advantages:

1. A exportação de gado não compete com a de carne, uma vez que se trata de uma atividade distinta e complementar;

2. It enables the improvement of good practices and animal’s well-being;

3. It encourages and strengthens the agriculture for the production of the bovine feeding;

4. It strengthens the industry of production of animal food;

5. It creates new stages in the meat chain, generating thousands of jobs, even outside the rural activity

6. Collaborates in the preservation of the environment, complying with the current Forest Code and the MPF's TAC;

7. Aumenta o PIB dos Municípios e Estados envolvidos na produção aumentando, como consequência, o PIB do país;
